Job Title: Bookkeeper
Location: Hybrid Working, Offices in Basingstoke and/or Hereford
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum
Hours: 37 ½ Hours per week Monday to Friday with hybrid working – typically 2 or 3 days per week in the office and 2 or 3 day working from home.

About the role
We are looking for someone to both maintain the accounting records of the Company and provide bookkeeping services to certain UK clients. You will be reporting locally to the Payroll Operations Manager and working with the Groups Bookkeeping team in Hong Kong.
Key responsibilities
- Process invoices, receipts and payments to an online accounting system (Xero) for both Black Mountain and clients
- Produce monthly management accounts comprising profit and loss and balance sheet in a timely manner
- Reconcile bank accounts including EUR & USD accounts
- Reconcile VAT accounts and provide figures for VAT return
- Make online payments and weekly payment reporting
- Maintain and view Purchase Order Tracker
- Input and reconcile credit cards including multi-currency transactions
- Post all journals for month (i.e. depreciation, accruals and prepayments, payroll etc.)
- Communicate in a friendly and effective manner with clients and colleagues, both at home and in Hong Kong
About you
- Part qualified accountant or 7 years relevant experience
- Pro-active, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with the minimum of direct supervision.
- Thorough knowledge of local accounting standards
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to take responsibility for service delivery
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Good spreadsheet skills and knowledge of accounting software (experience of Xero would be an advantage)
