Job Title: Examinations Assistant
Location: Northwich, Cheshire
Salary: £15,032 per annum
Job type: Full Time, Permanent (37 Hours per week), term time only + 15 Days during College Holidays

The College is seeking to appoint an Examinations Assistant to assist in the administration and organisation of all aspects of examinations.
Role Overview:
The Examinations Assistant is responsible for assisting with the administration and organisation of all aspects of examinations in accordance with the regulations laid down by the awarding bodies.
To provide administrative support to the Additional Learning Support (ALS) department at key times across the academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the processing and submission of entries for external examinations to awarding bodies in advance of deadlines
- Liaising with all relevant staff, such as Heads of Department regarding entries
- Disseminating information, answering enquiries and dealing with queries regarding external examinations with staff, students and parents
- Assisting with the supervision of the daily running of internal and external examinations
- Assisting with the organisation of examination materials, providing safe custody of and organising examination stationery and materials
- Assisting with the overseeing of the setup of the examination rooms, in accordance with regulations
- Assisting with arranging invigilation, including briefing and instructing invigilators in examination procedures
- Assisting with the resolution of examination clashes in accordance with regulations
- Assisting with the briefing of candidates on examination regulations and providing guidelines for staff and students; ensuring candidates are aware of their own examination timetables
- Collecting and despatching worked scripts in accordance with the regulations
- Processing enquiries about results and requests for return of scripts
- Assist with organising examination access arrangements for students who require arrangements
- Collate information regarding student additional learning support needs
- Organise meetings for the Head of ALS and students who disclose an additional learning need
- To act in accordance with and promote the Staff Code of Conduct and Safeguarding and Prevent policies
- The post holder will be required to undertake any other duties consistent with the job-title as may reasonably be required from time to time by College Management
The ideal Candidate will have/ be:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Experience of Microsoft Office, including spreadsheets
- Ability to work on own initiative in a proactive way and also as a member of a team
- Good organisational and administrative skills
- Ability to work cooperatively and flexibly with staff
- Ability to prioritise, organise and co-ordinate workload
- Good communication skills used in a timely manner
- Ability to work under pressure and to be solution focussed
- Awareness of the need for confidentiality
- Commitment to the ethos of the College
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude
- Flexible in approach to work and adaptable to changing situations
- Willingness to undertake relevant training
- A Level standard or equivalent
