Job Title: Events Duty Manager
Salary: Dependent on experience

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time
Working Hours: 40 Hours Per Week (working 5 out of 7 days)
Reports to: The Venue Operations Manager

Pavilions of Harrogate is an award-winning venue on the Great Yorkshire Showground. We have 14 function rooms and host over 500 events every year!
We love events from conferences and meetings to weddings and awards dinners and everything in between. The success of every event is important as all of our profits go towards funding the charitable activities of the Yorkshire Agricultural Society, which was formed in 1837, to support, food, farming, and the countryside.

What you will be doing:
- Manage events in accordance with client`s requirements
- Work with and supervise casual staff and events team ensuring the highest quality of customer service
- Responsible for all set up activities of all function areas in and around the venue
- Play an active role in moving event furniture according to client’s requirements
- Assist events team to ensure all legal and company policies are followed at all times (COSHH, Health and Safety, and Fire)
- Lead events team to carry out monthly audits

- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Ability to anticipate and focus attention on guests needs, being professional and welcoming
- Previous service experience is an asset
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Highly responsible and reliable
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Requirements:
- Full, clean driving license
- To have or undertake and pass the training to become a Personal License holder, SIA license holder and First Aider
