Job Title: Events Coordinator
Location: London (Home Working).
Salary: £29,580.
Job type: 35 hours per week. Full-time, Fixed-term contract until October 2023. This is a home working role, but there will be a need to travel across the UK to plan and attend events.

The Role:
We are currently looking for an Events Coordinator to plan and create exciting events for our Year 2023, 60th Anniversary Programme. This role will be within our Communications team on a Fixed Term Contract until October 2023.
This is a new role created for Year 2023, our 60th Anniversary year. The role will be responsible for a number of key events, from high profile events with key stakeholders, sector events, conference for school children, thought leader roundtables and several mini events planned for Year 2023. We are looking for a smart, ambitious, and experienced event planner to manage and deliver an exceptional quality of service to support our key year of activity. You will need to have demonstrable experience of managing events or multiple projects with competing deadlines. This is an opportunity to develop your skills and due to the nature of the role and responsibilities it would be a great opportunity for someone with coordinator level experience.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Planning, organising and delivering an agreed number of complex events over a 12-month period
- Managing, planning and delivering a range of events providing an exceptional experience for all attendees from a range of audiences
- Negotiating event dates, venues, prices, contracts in a timely manner to achieve best value and terms
- Undertake venue research as required, arranging and attending site visits to assess suitability of venues for the audiences and bespoke events
- Produce detailed project plans outlining deliverables, key dates, deadlines and budget tracking
- Building relationships with key internal and external stakeholders in the locations of where the events are to be held
- Managing local, or national, suppliers for each event ensuring quality of service whilst being mindful of keeping to costs
Experience and Skills:
- Proven experience of managing a number of events / projects concurrently to meet agreed deadlines
- Ability to forge good working relationships and establish networks
- Demonstrable experience of working successfully both as part of a team and taking initiative to organise own workload
- Experience of event planning, management and delivery of a broad range of events with the ability to prioritise effectively
- Ability to build strong relationships at all levels, internally and externally
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
