Job Title: Event and Exhibition Projects Administrator
Location: Sittingbourne
Salary: £25k per year – subject to experience.
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time/Part Time.
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, with additional hours and travel sometimes required. Part Time working would be considered for the right candidate.
The Company:
At ESM we manage the design and build of exhibition spaces to create an engaging and memorable stand for our clients and their brand. All work is undertaken in house at our Kent headquarters by our experienced team who have been working on exhibition stands and trade fairs for a number of years, bringing both expertise and the latest trends to every project.
We produce some genuinely beautiful work; working on some fantastic projects for a number of agencies, but also a large volume of work for exhibitors looking to stand out at their events predominantly in the UK.
Our staff are tremendously proud of what we do, and this is a great chance to join a team that set the highest of standards and help us further improve the service we provide to our clients.
The Position:
ESM require a Projects Administrator to work across a portfolio of exhibition stand projects for a range of clients that will install at venues across the UK, Europe and sometimes beyond.
Working across a number of projects the successful candidate would be responsible for ordering all services that go into each exhibition stand that we design and build.
You would work with external suppliers across disciplines such as floorcovering, furniture, audio-visual, graphics, electrics, rigging, and administrating our health and safety management of each project too. This would involve client liaison and budget management as well as working to strict time-scales.
You would also be responsible for booking hotels, vehicles, logistics, and producing packs to provide installation teams and internal stakeholders with the details they need to complete each project.
This could be viewed as an entry level role into project management in a dynamic and exciting sector of industry where no two projects are the same, and where being organised and with an ability to think fast will pay dividends.
There are great opportunities for career progression, and this is a role that could provide a fantastic grounding for moving onto a full-scale project management and account management role in the future. However, it would also suit a strong, organizer and administrator that wants to be part of a team and work on projects that are exciting and interesting, but wishes to remain in the background.
The role would be largely office based, 40 hours per week, with additional hours and travel sometimes required for meetings and especially to venues for show builds, and to gain onsite project management experience where relevant and useful. This could sometimes involve evenings and weekends. (full expenses paid)
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be methodical with an eye for detail, organised, creative, literate (with A-C GCSE grades in English and Maths) and good A-Levels, as well as a personable communicator both face to face and on the phone, who would relish the opportunity to work with a friendly team and be willing to learn all about the design and manufacturing of exhibition stands to facilitate the better execution of their role going forward.
Benefits:
- 25 days holiday a year.
- Competitive salary subject to experience.
- Company Pension.
- Friendly but fast paced working environment.
- Plenty of opportunity for career growth and progression within an SME business.
