At the heart of their ambitions is a drive to optimise the use of Council owned assets along with the potential expansion of the property portfolio utilising the Councils Local Property Investment Fund. They aim to boost income generation and optimise the return from our assets, both current and future to support service delivery.
You will be working within an in-house team of property professionals, who are responsible for the operational management of a diverse estate and investment portfolio valued at over £48m of both land and property including industrial units, commercial businesses, retail units, multi-let offices, concessions and leisure facilities. You will be the first point of contact responding to internal and external enquiries on property related matters and provide support to the team in undertaking the day to day management of the portfolio. You will be proactive in managing, maintaining and developing the Council’s property management system, Concerto, to improve efficiency of the function enabling the Council to achieve its asset management aspirations.
The suitable candidate will need to have experience working within property management, estates & valuation service or legal property services. You will also need to deliver a high level of service and be able to manage your own case load, acting on your own initiative. You will spend some time visiting assets across the district as part of this role, therefore it is essential to have access to personal transport/vehicle.
