Job Role:
These posts are a stimulating opportunity for exceptional professionals to be at the heart of shaping the highway environment in Calderdale located in the heart of the Leeds City Region between Leeds and Manchester.
You will be primarily responsible for co-ordinating and recording all of the Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) prepared by the Council.
Other responsibilities will include responding to queries from Elected Members and the public, acting as the focal point for technical advice, regulations and guidance of all types of Traffic Regulation Orders.
You will also be required to carry out site visits and produce feasibility studies including the design of signing and lining for minor traffic and parking improvement schemes recommended for progression.
The Council is currently progressing towards map based TROs and so you will also be responsible for developing and maintaining a library and archive of all TROs, including developing, maintaining and administering the PARKMAP software system.
To be shortlisted for interview your personal statement should clearly evidence the specified requirements of the role profile. They would particularly welcome interest from individuals with recognised engineering qualifications who may hold chartered/incorporated status with an appropriate professional body (e.g. ICE) or equivalent relevant experience. You should have a good working knowledge of TSRGD 2016 and the Traffic Signs Manuals, be proficient in AutoCAD and experience with KeySIGN, KeyLINES and KeyACCIDENT would be an advantage.
