Job Title: EN Placements Admissions Assistant
Location: Norwich
Salary: £19,650 to £20,043 per annum (Scale D)
Job type: Full Time, Permanent.
Education High Needs SEND Service – two full-time positions available
An opportunity has arisen to work in a key education service which actively supports the administration of placing and funding those children and young people with Special Educational needs. You will be working as part of a small team using IT management systems and other technology to record and manage placement requests, consultations and offers. You will work closely with SEN Teams and special schools in and out of the county.
You will
- Support and administrate the arrangements for placing children and young people in specialist settings
- Be the main admissions contact between special schools and the LA
- Prepare and attend panel meetings and keep accurate records
Candidates should have
- Have GCSE passes in English and maths at grade C or above or equivalent Level 2 qualifications
- Experience of working with ICT software especially Microsoft word and Excel
- Ability to use technology to effectively manage workload
- Ability to work with large data sets accurately
- Ability to organise own worktime and tasks
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work as a team
- Initiative, ability to problem solve and demonstrate resilience in the workplace
- Driving licence so school visits can be undertaken
The job will be largely home based with an expectation that working at County Hall will take place on a minimum of a fortnightly basis.
