Job Title: Electronic Design Technician

About the Company
We are a family business who specialize in the design, manufacturing and sale of low powered, low frequency piezoceramic sensors which are widely used in the care industry in the prevention of falls.
We are seeking an all-rounded candidate with a passion for practical electronics, specifically in the design, manufacture and assembly of low powered sensor devices.
This is a unique role which will provide the successful candidate with an opportunity to work in all areas of the product design cycle.
What We’re Looking For
- Basic knowledge of PCB design including passive analogue components such as diodes, resistors, capacitors and timer chips
- Basic knowledge in the use of the oscilloscope, multimeter and signal analyzer
- Ability to troubleshoot PCBs using surface mount discrete components
- Practical experience in soldering, product assembly and testing
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair sensors which have been returned to us
- A willingness to use technical knowledge to troubleshoot problems with our sensors by speaking to customers on the telephone
- Experience in the use of PCB design software such as Eagle
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience of liaising with suppliers and board houses to assist in the manufacturing process of our PCBs and/or complete sensors
Desirable
- Basic knowledge of programming languages including C++ and Python
- An interest in IOT devices would be useful
Hours of Work
- Full time, 35 hours per week
- We will consider part-time and flexible working hours for the right candidate
