Salary: Up to £18.00 per hour depending on experience, overtime at time and a half after 40 hours.

Job type: Full time, Permanent. 40 hours per week + overtime as required.

We are a creative construction and manufacturing company and are responsible for delivering some of the most iconic projects in recent times. We are a multi-disciplined manufacturing facility spread over 12,000Sqm of estate with four manufacturing and storage facilities, engineering, fabrication, woodwork, finishing and a specialist manufacturing facility.

The Role:

The electrician at Stage One will be responsible for the upkeep of all in house electrical circuits and supporting the production departments with minor alterations within workshop departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Electrical

• Maintain all in house circuits
• Keep all building testing up to date
• Support Production with architectural requirements on a project-by-project basis
• Perform PAT testing throughout Stage One
• Perform PAT testing to site kit for the Stores Department
• Support Production with additional temporary power where required

Communication

• Clearly communicate all relevant information including job progress and any problems and/or issues

Quality

• Ensure that tasks are completed in accordance with the QMS

Health & Safety

• Adhere to all Health & Safety Regulations and promote a safe working environment by actively incorporating H&S into everyday activities
• Be aware of risk assessments and method statements relating to own area of work
• Undertake training as required

Other

• Follow all HR and Company procedures
• Work in a team alongside all other departments as required
• Respect confidentiality of projects as required
• Other duties as may be required from time to time

Person specification:

Qualifications

• A general education to include 5 GCSE passes at Grade C or above (including Maths and English), or an equivalent educational qualification, or relevant experience (Essential)
• Qualified to 18^th Edition (Essential)
• NVQ level 3 diploma in Electrical Installations or equivalent (Essential)

Knowledge

• Good working knowledge of current electrical standards and regulations (Essential)

Skills, abilities and competencies

• Ability to perform electrical maintenance of commercial and industrial sites (Essential)
• Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings (Essential)
• Hold a current ECS card (Desirable)

Experience

• Proven experience in 1^st and 2^nd fix electrical installations plus inspection and testing (Essential)
• Experience across a broad range of systems (Essential)
