Job Title: EHCP and FE Support Coordinator (SENCO)

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £36,333 – £38,474 per annum – SS6

Job type: Permanent, Full-time.

The Role:

University College Birmingham’s highly experienced Disability Support team is looking to expand during an exciting period of growth.

The team requires an EHCP and FE Support Coordinator (SENCO) who will coordinate support for Further Education students who have disclosed a disability or SpLD. This will require managing our Academic Support Worker team on a day-to-day basis, maintaining quality of support provision, and working closely with our wider curriculum teams and external agencies.

Candidate Requirements:

You will have proven managerial experience in this area, in addition to experience of working with Education Health and Care Plans (supporting students with EHCPs from transition in to transition out) and being empathetic towards students with disabilities/SpLDs.

Further, the successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, a thorough understanding of the OFSTED EIF, and an in-depth knowledge of associated disability legislation, funding and regulatory bodies.
