Job Title: Driver/Furniture Assembler
Location: Stathern (LE14)
Salary: £10.50 to £12.00 (dependent on experience)
Job type: Full time, 8.30am – 5pm (Some flexibility required)
LeisureBench Limited and SGM Recycled Plastics Limited are outdoor furniture suppliers and manufacturers based in Stathern (LE14) near Melton Mowbray.
The Role:
This is a great opportunity for a flexible and versatile Driver/Furniture Assembler to join our growing team, at an exciting time. This role would suit a candidate who has driving experience but is also willing and able to work in a team to unload and assemble outdoor furniture at customer premises.
There is an opportunity for training and improved pay, so that you can be qualified to drive a 7.5t vehicle.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Driving to and from site
- Furniture assembly on site
- Upkeep of your CPC licence for 7.5t vehicles (at company cost)
- Being flexible and willing to help the warehouse team when necessary
- Have a practical knowledge of furniture assembly to a DIY level of ability
- On site problem solving
- An understanding of Health and Safety
The Candidate:
Experience of driving up to 3.5t vehicles and a willingness to assemble furniture onsite is all you need. If you are trained in driving 7.5t vehicles and hold a CPC card, this would be an advantage.
- Clean Driving licence (including C1 is preferred but not essential)
- Relevant 7.5t vehicle driving experience and CPC is preferable but there is an opportunity for training to attain a CPC

- Able to work on your own as well as in a team
- Prepared to work with different people and different teams on a regular basis
- A practical and capable approach to the use of power tools and DIY style assembly
- The ability to use your initiative and problem solve
- A forklift truck licence would be an advantage
- Punctual and reliable
- Able and willing to work the occasional weekend and bank holiday
