Job Title: Domestic Services Supervisor and Operations Support

The Role
To undertake a supervisory role with hands-on operations support. Working as part of a team to maintain a high level of cleanliness throughout the College and Prep School and to ensure implementation of logistics for activities, meetings and events. In the absence of the Domestic Services Manager you would undertake much of their duties
Responsibilities include
- Being a hands-on supervisor, leading and working alongside the Domestic Services Team to ensure an efficient and effective service is delivered.
- ensuring a high level of cleanliness is maintained and the day-to-day operational needs of the College and Prep School are met. Operational needs include parcel distribution, waste management, laundering of bed linen and personal clothing, movement of furniture, goods and equipment, set up for activities, meetings and events.
- Being responsible for ensuring all allocated areas in the College and/or Prep School are cleaned and sanitised as required before and throughout the school day.
- Liaising daily with Team members and be a key contact for issues and concerns.
- Building effective working relationships with all members of the Domestic Services Team to gain trust and commitment and to maintain a positive team spirit.
- Co-ordinating cover for absent staff members, overtime and additional support requirements.
- On a day-to-day basis, take responsibility for ensuring cleaning areas are covered, re-distributing workload and enlisting support from across the team as required.
Ideal candidate
- Experience of leadership in some capacity – supervisor/team leader/project management etc.
- Experience of working as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational skills
