The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Document Controller to join an existing team at Rolton Group, which provides support for projects primarily within the automotive, commercial, industrial, retail, education and residential sectors. You will be responsible, under the leadership of a Senior Team Administrator, for the control of document flow on medium to large scale projects for numerous schemes for clients across these sectors.
Key Requirements:
- Use of internal & external collaborative document management systems. The internal management system is a bespoke configuration of Deltek Workspace and for the use of which training will be given. The external management systems will be construction industry standards such as Aconex, Viewpoint, Procore, ASite etc.
- The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a minimum of 3-5-years’ experience in the intensive use of such systems or similar systems.
- Development and implementation of document control procedures at the planning stage of a specific project
- Agreeing document standards, naming conventions, approval processes and QA protocols with fellow project professionals
- Sorting, collation, assembly and retrieving documents on behalf of our internal teams
- Ensuring all relevant internal and external documents are shared at key times, internal and external systems are synchronised. There is regular monitoring of document activity by external project professionals and they are reviewed and circulated to internal teams and the appropriate notices issued.
- Ensure all internally produced documentation will need to satisfy agreed requirements and QA standards and the duties will include undertaking regular internal document audits.
- The ability to operate as part of a wider project team and to liaise closely with internal and external project managers, engineers and technicians is a crucial part of the role
The Candidate:
- Will be familiar with construction industry standards such as Aconex, Viewpoint, Procore, ASite etc.
- The successful candidate should be educated to degree-level and demonstrate membership of relevant professional bodies with regular CPD.
- The candidate will have the ability to work on their own initiative and to coordinate their work with others, this will include the day-to-day management of administration assistants whose prime function will be to upload and retrieve documents.
- Is able to work with high attention to accuracy and detail
- The successful candidate must be self-motivated, independent thinking, accurate, confident, eloquent and capable of representing the Company to fellow project professionals.
