Job Title: Digital Resources Officer

Location: Lancaster

Salary: £29,605 to £36,024 pro rata

Job type: Part Time. This role is offered on a 0.5 FTE basis for 2 years (working days/hours are flexible). We are open to applications for the role as a secondment for existing Lancaster University employees. Open to flexible working arrangements e.g. flexible start/finish times and blended remote/office working.

The Role:

Are you passionate about digital media and looking for an opportunity to use your skills and experience to improve the student experience at Lancaster University?

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Student and Education Services Division as a Digital Resources Officer working in the new Student Wellbeing Partnership Service. The Digital Resources Officer will produce digital resources to enhance the work of the Student Wellbeing Services teams, working across all areas with a particular focus on student induction and transitions between programme stages, developing student training materials and producing digital resources to enable the communication and promotion of student wellbeing related events and activities.

You will develop digital information, tools, advice, training materials and guidance for students and staff to support the work of the Student Wellbeing Services teams. This will involve developing innovative digital resources targeted at specific activities or groups of students, and you will also be involved in helping the teams in delivering group workshops, events and presentations and creating promotional materials. A major part of the role will be to develop the digital student induction training courses – Ready for University and Lancaster Values and Behaviours – and bespoke online modules for particular student groups/audiences. You will also pro-actively gather feedback from students, staff and external sources to evaluate the effectiveness of our digital resources, identify trends and future needs and inform and develop the digital resources produced for students.

Candidate Requirements:

You will need to have experience of developing online training and guidance materials (e.g. videos, blogs, online courses), developing and designing clear concise web content and ideally experience of producing video content.
