Job Title: Digital Construction Manager
Location: Manchester
Salary: Up to £50,000 – depending on experience
Job Type: Permanent / Full time (Remote/Hybrid)
About the role:
The Digital Construction Manager will be responsible for leading the digital construction efforts across the company. This role will ensure that all digital construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the highest standards of quality.
Key responsibilities:
Oversee Group BIM’s Research and Development Progress
Facilitate the progress of research and development in areas such as:
- 5D and 4D modelling
- Sustainability and Carbon management
- Project and design management
- Delivery support
- Fire stopping procedure
Support Delivery Across the Business:
- Provide comprehensive support and training to different departments and subsidiaries within the business to ensure consistent and efficient delivery of projects
Manage ISO19650 Certification Process:
- Support the preparation and updating of documentation to deliver the ISO Certification process
- Ensure the wider group implementation of ISO and company standards
Manage and maintain the Digital Construction Documents and Intranet (Hub) Page:
- Oversee the management and maintenance of the Digital Construction documentation and hub page, keeping it up-to-date and relevant
- Work closely with the Group Quality Management team
- Continuously improve knowledge and skills pertaining to this role i.e. UK BIM Framework, Building Safety Act, new and updated ISO standards etc.
Implement Various Software and Systems:
Take charge of the implementation of various software and systems such as:
- Common Data Environment (CDE)
- Clash Detection procedure(s)
- Information Management procedure(s)
- Design Management procedure integration
Conduct Regional Project Reviews:
- Regularly conduct regional project reviews to assess progress, identify issues, and devise solutions and ongoing support needs
Manage Software Solutions:
- Manage software solutions such as CDE, Solibri, Issue Management, and project/design management tools
- Ensure these solutions are used effectively and optimally
Configure New Software Solutions for Delivery:
- Work on the configuration of new software solutions to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of projects
Provide Ongoing Training to Regional Digital Construction Managers:
- Provide continuous training to Regional Digital Construction Managers to ensure they are updated with the latest practices and technologies
This role requires a highly organised and detail-orientated professional with excellent leadership skills and a passion for digital construction. The Group Digital Construction Manager will play a crucial role in driving the company’s digital construction efforts and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in BIM implementation and digital construction management in the construction industry
- Relevant certifications such as Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) or Building SMART Professional (BSP) are advantageous [Preferred although not essential]
- Experience using Solibri Office and Autodesk products
- Experience using Microsoft 365 products
- Experience using software to support other Digital applications i.e. 4D, 5D, Sustainability [Preferred although not essential]
