We are looking for a talented Digital Communications Manager to co-ordinate our digital communications platforms both internally and externally, to improve the effectiveness of these to all our stakeholders.

You will produce effective digital content communicating our initiatives, innovations and successes working closely with our Group PR Manager to plan and coordinate activity and campaigns.

We are looking for a creative person who is passionate about producing compelling online content. We will shortly be updating and redesigning our website and you will play a central role in that process, but you should also enjoy and have extensive experience of social media platforms – we currently have a presence on Linked In, X and Instagram but are looking to increase and widen our presence online.

The Role:

This is a new role to the company, and you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our website, intranet and all online channels. The successful candidate will schedule content, monitor and respond to interactions to build our online presence, increase our followers and enhance our reputation as one of the best companies in the industry. Developing relationships with key internal teams as well as a variety of internal stakeholders is essential.

The ideal candidate will have excellent planning, communication, organisational and evaluation skills as well as lots of ideas about what content works well online. The varied nature of this role means the post holder must possess a can-do attitude and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. The ability to write well, with accuracy and attention to detail is also essential.

Based at our head office in Derbyshire, the role is full time, 39 hours per week. We offer a competitive salary, 25 days’ holiday per year (plus 8 bank holidays and Christmas Eve), membership of our group personal pension scheme and entry into our private medical insurance scheme, subject to a qualifying period. A company car, or equivalent car allowance will also be provided.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • To work with internal teams and external specialists to create and design our new bandk.co.uk website within an agreed timescale.
  • To use existing – and identify new – digital communications channels to meet current and future communications and engagement needs.
  • Be responsible for the proactive development and day to day running of our external website including content creation and updates.
  • Be responsible for the management of our internal intranet, including liaising with internal stakeholders to implement updates and new features.
  • Be responsible for the management of our social media channels ensuring that messages are aligned with strategic objectives and coordinated with the external website and internal intranet.

Skills & Experience Required:

Essential:

  • Educated to degree level in a digital communications-related field, or equivalent professional qualifications/experience.
  • Ability to use a variety of content management systems and analyse and develop these in line with user needs and organisational demands.
  • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms to keep up with current trends of usage.
  • Experience of interpreting digital analytics to enable digital communications channel developments, improving effectiveness of communications activity and identifying issues and opportunities.
  • Demonstrable experience of developing relevant, eye-catching online content.
  • Good communication and engagement skills, with an ability to maintain good working relationships with people at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • UK Driving licence required as the role will include visits to our construction projects from time to time.
