About the role:
We are looking for a creative, driven and committed individual to join our busy Despatch department as a Despatch Assistant. The role involves all aspects relating to order fulfilment.
Main Duties will include:
- Receiving goods into despatch and correctly locating them;
- Preparing goods for despatch to customers;
- Creating despatch notes for the customer and ensuring the products leave despatch on time;
- Booking courier services.
About you:
- The successful applicant needs to be dynamic, hands-on, capable of working under pressure whilst remaining calm, with strong skills in problem solving and communication.
- You must have good numeracy and IT skills and have great communication skills, both written and verbal.
- You will be self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision, be meticulous with details and have good planning and organisation skills.
- Applicants should ideally be based locally and possess their own transport.
- Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage, but is not essential as full training will be given.
Benefits:
- Salary: Up to £22,000 depending on skills and experience.
- Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm and Friday 8.30am to 4pm
- Holidays: Starting entitlement of 22 days plus Bank Holidays increasing each year to a maximum of 28 days plus Bank Holidays.
- Sabbatical: One month paid sabbatical after 6 years
