Job Title: Deputy Behaviour and Play Specialist

Salary: £33,624 – £39,028 per annum

About the Role:
Working under the direction of the Head of Behaviour and Play team, you will provide a broad range of support to the children, both individually and in groups. You will have had experience of working with children within an educational or residential setting. Of even greater importance are the personal qualities of resilience and creativity as well as the ability to think and adapt quickly to new situations.
You will consistently display high levels of emotional containment and the capacity to support your team. You will be expected to act as a deputy for the Head of Behaviour and Play Team (known as Shifford internally), demonstrating consistent management and organisational skills as well as the ability to spontaneously draw upon a broad range of games and play experience.
We look for dedication and commitment and would prefer that you are able to give at least a 3-year commitment to working at the school and in return, you will find extensive support in the form of regular supervision, consultation, professional advice, training and a very supportive team.
All front-line staff at the school are required to undertake our Level 5 Foundation Degree in Therapeutic Childcare (accredited by the University of the West of England), which is fully funded and supported by the school.
