Job Title: Data Analyst
Location: Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire (2 days WFH)
Salary: £36,000 – £42,000 per annum, dependent on experience

WWIIS Services is the technical and statistical analysis arm of World Wide Internet Insurance Services, a leading Insurtech company. Operating through multiple brands in the United Kingdom, the company offers a range of insurance products and has insured over 8 million UK travellers.
Due to the growth in digital and data capabilities within the organisation, an exciting new role has opened up to own our data analysis.
The role:
You will be part of a small team of subject experts, allowing you the opportunity to make this role your own and grow within the business. You’ll need to be as confident taking ownership of tasks as working on projects as part of a larger multidisciplinary team.
This is a hands-on role and requires the right individual who is comfortable working in a fast paced environment and is willing to continuously learn and adapt. A passion to learn is highly important in this role, with the company offering numerous personal development opportunities including qualifications with the Chartered Insurance Institute.
The role will be hybrid working of 3 days in office and 2 days (optionally) working from home .
Key Duties:
- To be the custodian of data analysis within the business, delivering insights and reports to key stakeholders
- To utilise our existing data structures to identify, analyse and interpret trends in sophisticated data sets
- To interpret data and analyse results using statistical techniques
- To optimise data quality and efficiency
- To begin the company on the journey to integrating increasing levels of automation and AI in its commercial and marketing decision-making
About you
Requirements:
- Experience working as a data analyst
- Good SQL skills for complex data extraction and analysis, including the ability to develop complex SQL queries
- Previous experience working with Tableau (or similar)
- Able to work autonomously
- Able to effectively communicate complex queries and results to key stakeholders
- Able to manage multiple projects with the flexibility to change priorities as and when needed
Desirable:
- Basic understanding of R or Python
- Previous experience working with a variety of large, complex datasets
