Salary: £13,391 – £15,826 (Based on a FTE £22,000 – £26,000)
Job type: Fixed Term, Part Time. 21 hours per week over 3 days (flexible). Exact working days to be negotiated, must include Saturdays 08.00h – 16.00h.
The Role:
A great opportunity has arisen for a Dance Studies Officer to join the Learning and Participation team at the Royal Academy of Dance Headquarters.
The Royal Academy of Dance is one of the world’s most influential dance education and training organisations. With its newly-opened global headquarters in London, our work takes us into diverse communities, locally and around the world to widen access to dance and to share the benefits and wellbeing that it brings.
Reporting to the Lead Student Activities Officer and working closely with the Learning and Participation, Finance and Marketing teams you will be responsible for organising and implementing all activities relating to GCSE and A-Level examinations and acting as the named Exams Officer. You will also be the main point of contact for prospective students, parents and carers. You will be a confident and experienced administrator and an excellent communicator with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels and be keen to join a creative, dynamic and passionate team.
Candidate Requirements:
As Dance Studies Officer you will have:
- Great attention to detail and the ability to maintain focus and accuracy in data entry and ensure compliance with programme specifications and examination regulations;
- Excellent customer-service skills, verbal and written communication skills and confidence dealing with enquiries;
- Ability to manage time, to multi-task, show initiative and to work within a team;
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. Proficient numeracy skills is a must, too;
- Experience of working in an administrative capacity within a busy, friendly office environment, plus working with budgets;
- Knowledge of 14-19 education programmes.
