The Role
Due to retirement of the current post holder, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller to join our highly successful team.
We are looking for a professional, highly motivated team player, with a flexible hands-on work ethic. A minimum of two years current Credit Control experience is a must as the role incorporates all areas of sales ledger functions including payment reconciliations.
You will be an effective communicator, used to liaising with Accounts Payable teams and Main Contractors alongside various internal staff and managers across all business functions.
The position is based at our offices in Ashford, Kent and the successful candidate must live within daily commuting distance of our Ashford office. Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:00.

What Are Your Skills Necessary to Perform This Role?
- Timely and effective collection of all debts and customers payments, working on various accounts to ensure prompt payment.
- Knowledge of SAP will be a distinct advantage as would experience within the Construction Industry.
- Negotiating settlements of accounts and dealing with enquiries and incoming calls.
- Working towards cash collection targets to help reduce outstanding debt.
- To follow up on all deadlines and co-ordinate further action where required.
- Maintain and monitor the sales ledger producing all necessary reports.
- Maintaining contact with customers to ensure invoices are clear for payment.
- Resolving queries both internally and externally around outstanding invoices.
- Posting and allocating daily receipts to company accounting system ensuring all under or over payments are followed up with the customer.
- Providing information to internal departments.
- General accounts admin.
