Key Responsibilities:
- To support the Italy Ski Contracting Team to source and book ski accommodation in line with business needs and group trip requirements
- To support the Italy Ski Contracting Team to contract advantageous commercial agreements for ski schools, ski hire, lift passes and coach companies for airport transfers, value adds to enhance product differentiation
- To contract ski accommodation, packages & ground elements for developing destinations eg Andorra, Austria & Germany – working with Destination Agencies where appropriate
- To carry out on-site Health & Safety audits when requested
- To travel to new resorts & trade fairs with the aim of developing new products
- To input into the Ski Programme development strategy
- To build & develop strong working relationships with key suppliers in destination to ensure favourable commercial terms/competitive rates and packages are delivered
- To input costs, payments & commercial conditions into the internal MI and booking system & to assist with any queries both internally & externally
- Ensure invoices are checked and processed in a timely manner & costs are accurately maintained within the company MI system
- To ensure that accurate hotel and resort information is made available to the sales & operations teams as soon as a property becomes available
- Review customer feedback, address & resolve any service or quality issues with suppliers. Create appropriate actions plans where applicable & monitor progress.
Additional Opportunities:
- To collaborate with Product, Sales and Operations teams to deliver the annual Halsbury Ski Championships, assist with Inspection visits, Ski promotional events.
Skills/Knowledge Required:
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge & experience of sourcing & booking Ski elements for Group tours.
- Ability to develop and maintain close working relationships with suppliers to achieve optimum results.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional organizational & planning skills.
- Capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
- Linguistic ability – Italian speaking would be advantageous.
- Hybrid working with some time spent in our Nottingham office
- Ability to travel overseas when required.
