Job Title: Social Media and Content Creator

Location: Skipton

Salary: £21,500 – £24,500 per year

Job type: Full-time, Permanent.

Nestled away in 250 acres of breath-taking countryside, Thornton Hall Country Park is an award-winning visitor attraction based on the border of Yorkshire and Lancashire. We are a farm park attraction and event venue hosting spectacular themed events, quad biking, birthday parties, camping, weddings, corporate events, and live entertainment – not to mention award-winning Christmas and Halloween experiences.

A 2021 Red Rose Awards winner and more recently, a 2022 Visit Lancashire Award winner, Thornton Hall Country Park has undergone a huge refurbishment which features a brand-new indoor play area, entertainment and diner area plus a refurbished outdoor entertainment space.

As we expand, we are looking for someone with an interest in digital marketing, Facebook, Instagram with the ability to create highly engaging content. Campaigns must deliver high ROI. This person must be able to generate ideas and content, be self-motivated and able to work with others to help the business forward. Proactive, confident, and able to work within a team. A good communicator with a collaborative approach.

We are currently looking for a Content and Digital Marketing Executive to join the Thornton family.

Please note:

  • You must have the right to work in the UK
  • We do not support visas
  • Full time office-based role Monday – Saturday
  • No remote working

Working hours would be 37.5 hours over 4 weekdays and one weekend day onsite at Thornton Hall Country Park. Postcode: BD23 3TS.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing different aspects of the business on various social media platforms.
  • Creating engaging and compelling social media content that reflects our brand, tone of voice and relevant to the platform.
  • Producing social media content that ranges from imagery, video and promotional graphics.
  • Scheduling social media content across multiple platforms. Facebook / Instagram / Tik Tok.
  • Creating and executing own creative ideas of socials.
  • Creating Facebook Ads to build brand awareness and generate revenue for the business.
  • Engage with activity across the company to optimise opportunities for content generation.
  • Work collaboratively to support and develop the creative team.
  • Working alongside the Marketing/Design Manager with ideas.
  • Liaising with and organising blogger and vlogger visits, including vetting applications appropriately.
  • Creating and sending surveys to customers after their visit and reporting findings back to the team
  • Reporting to management on a monthly basis regarding social media changes, ideas, insights and survey results.
  • Updating a range to online third-party listings regularly keeping information and events up to date.
  • Other admin duties as required.

Candidate:

  • Knowledge in a similar role in social media, blogs and podcasts.
  • Confident and creative.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to multitask.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Must be flexible with working on occasional evenings and weekends.
