Job Title: Construction Director – Mobile Telecoms
Location: Glasgow

We have an exciting new opportunity for an enthusiastic candidate to join the HF Group in a permanent role that promises unique challenges, a varied workload and great career progression opportunities within the company.
We are currently looking to recruit a candidate to join the board as Construction Director within HF Comms Ltd with responsibility for the construction function of our business.
The position
As the construction director you will be responsible for overseeing our construction program teams that are responsible for the delivery of construction on a number of varying and different programmes of work. Each team has their own senior build manager and you will be required to provide leadership and guidance to that person and ensure they have the right level of resource and skill sets within their team to ensure success in their delivery.
The job role of a Construction Director involves the following duties:
- Monitoring Snr Build Managers, overseeing H&S, programme, finance and ensuring quality
- Managing project managers and enabling them to supervise and manage their own teams
- Making strategic decisions and providing leadership and direction to Snr Build Managers to implement those decisions
- Meet with clients, stakeholders and assist the Snr Build Managers to regularly report on programme progress and performance.
- Liaising with clients and building strong working relationships
- Devising cost-effective plans to ensure efficient and effective build completion
- Managing risks to avoid delays or reputational damage
What you will need include
- Minimum of 5 year’ experience directing a build rollout delivery department in a mobile telecoms’ environment.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience of mobile operators’ technical specifications
- Health and safety qualification (NEBOSH preferred or equivalent)
- Project management qualification
- Programme management experience
- Construction/engineering-based qualification
- Excellent commercial and contract knowledge and experience
- Leadership and business management skills
- The ability to plan and adapt
- Excellent verbal communication skills
