What Will the role involve?
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a fast paced transport or logistics environment.
- Lead by example to motivate, inspire and encourage teamwork within the workplace by displaying the correct behaviours towards all members of the Knowles Logistics teams.
- Maintaining standards of H&S, hygiene and security in the work environment. Strong PC based knowledge including Excel spreadsheet, Microsoft word, Power-point.
- Excellent written, numeracy and accurate data entry skills and strong attention to detail. Good communication skills
- Tenacious individual with the ability to think on your feet, confident when making decisions and can challenge to resolve issues. Punctual and reliable in approach to work, flexible and adaptable to fit into different teams and environments.
- Highly organised, self-sufficient and able to work on own initiative, with ability to multi task, work in a fast paced environment to tight deadlines.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure quality and compliance effectiveness.
- Communicate clearly maintaining a positive and professional attitude towards customers & colleagues at all times.
- Maintaining standards of Health & Safety, hygiene and security in the work environment.
- Encouraging team work by displaying the correct behaviours towards all members of the team.
Role:
Health and Safety:
- Conduct and review risk assessments
- Write and maintain work instructions
- Manage and engage in incident investigation process
- Maintain H&S KPIs
- Lead H&S committee
- Deliver H&S related training
- Induct new starters and agency workers
Compliance:
- Internal & external audit facilitation
- Track and ensure the site is meeting Health and Safety, Quality, and Environmental requirements as set by the law, auditing bodies, and the client.
- Statutory equipment inspections (LOLER regs)
- PAT
- Fire
- First Aid
- BRCGS standards
- Maintain document control file
- Maintain site training matrix
- Maintain pest control
Other;
- Skill with Microsoft 365 package
- Knowledge and use of warehouse management systems
