Job Title: Compliance Coordinator (Trainee)

Salary: Up to £20,500 – £22k DOE, increasing with passing probation and role development

Established in 1995, Life Environmental Services Ltd are an independent National Environmental Consultancy. The company employs a total of 135 staff members covering the whole of the United Kingdom.
The business now provides a comprehensive selection of Environmental Consultancy Services. The core areas of the business are Asbestos Consultancy, Legionella Consultancy Services and Fire Consultancy Services, across all sectors including Construction, Local Government, MOD, Education, Social Housing, Logistics, Manufacturing and many more.
The Role:
This role is multi-faceted and cover equipment calibration and management; undertaking of Service Level Agreements and completion of Pre-Qualification Questionnaires; Running and managing the internal QC schemes; Initially assisting in the running of external participation schemes, however, it is envisaged as the role develops you will be running this scheme; and, supporting the office in localised admin tasks.
Although down as a trainee role, any relevant experience will be considered. Training will be given and support and assistance provided by the team.
The role is office based, 5 days a week Monday – Friday 08:30-17:00, with an hour break for lunch. Based on 37.5 hour working week.
Requirements:
- Committed and consistent – Be able to attend the office 5 days per week; as the role develops, we can be flexible up to a point, however, must be able to meet the requirements of the business.
- Organised – Work can vary day to day and the ideal candidate must be able to prioritise the work accordingly.
- Independent – Although support will be given, you will need to work on your own
- Attention to detail – Must be able to spot issues and respond accordingly.
- Resilient – The ideal candidate needs to be able to enforce company decisions and practice.
- IT aware – Must have an understanding and ability to use MS Office / Google. The company has its own in-house platform plus utilises a lot of SharePoint applications. Although support and training will be given, the candidate must be comfortable using Outlook, Excel, and Word.
