Our work includes the accreditation of training which meets industry standards, delivering innovative support services for learning providers and students, and issuing digital credentials (online badges) confirming the skills of those successfully completing accredited programmes. Role Purpose:
If you are an excellent team player with fantastic communication skills and enjoy building and retaining customer relationships, you may want to be our Community Manager. We open up routes to employment by promoting degrees, apprenticeships and training programmes via accreditation valued by industry. Our Community Manager will work closely with our degree, apprenticeship, and employer communities to ensure they remain engaged, informed and see the value of being a part of our community.
We would particularly value applicants with an apprenticeship background, with customer account management, community management or relationship/partnership management and event management experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Maintain existing client relationships and ensure high customer satisfaction and retention of business. This includes facilitating meetings of employers and educators such as the digital degree apprenticeship trailblazer group
- Maintain and develop our employer relationships to increase their contribution to our work
- On-boarding and development of relationships with new higher education institutions and employer partners, working closely with sales colleagues to ensure a smooth transition into our communities
- Ensure our apprenticeship community is kept up to date with relevant government policy matters and provides effective input into policy development
- Establish a revitalised community for degree course directors that delivers real value to all parties
- Create and deliver a new strategy for implementing an alumni community
- Organise flagship events like the Tech Industry Gold National Apprenticeship Awards and annual apprenticeship conference. Work in close collaboration with the Senior Marketing Manager to promote events to the relevant communities
- Deliver student induction sessions and support the Student Services Manager in organising employer/student engagement events and activities
- Contribute relevant content for our community newsletters to help keep our communities informed and engaged in our work

Competencies:
- Developing and managing collaborative relationships both externally and internally
- Excellent attention to detail
- Knowledge of the changing digital landscape and how that impacts community development
- Experience with tools and techniques for effective online engagement with communities
- Ability to flex with the needs of a growing business
Essential Knowledge and Experience:
- Partnership/Community management
- Excellent working knowledge of the apprenticeship world, ideally including degree apprenticeships and knowledge of the Apprenticeship Levy and how it operates
- Demonstrable experience of working collaboratively with employer groups and/or education
- Good working knowledge of digital tools and how they can be used to support collaborative and effective working practices with both internal and external stakeholders
- Clear demonstration of personal impact, this is a ‘hands on’ role that will require someone who welcomes the opportunity to put ideas into action and deliver outstanding results
- A proactive decision-maker who is able to effectively analyse data and create and deliver plans based on insights to support the organisational goals
Desired knowledge and experience:
- Experience in working in the tech sector, training or academic environments
- Events Management
- Previous work in the accreditation and training landscape in digital skills and an understanding of trade associations/membership bodies
- Experience of CRM systems, especially MS Dynamics
