Salary: £38,000 – £42,000 per annum + Overtime (dependent on experience and qualifications)

McLennan Group is currently looking for an experienced, accomplished, self-motivated commercial plumber & gas engineer to maintain and support our industry leading services.

The Role:
- Due to the continued success of our business and reputation, we are now looking to recruit Commercial Gas plumber to work across our clients in the retail, leisure and hospitality sector. Must have on-site experience with 1st and 2nd fix pipework, sanitary and boiler & heating systems. Projects can range from 2 weeks – 6 months.
- The role will be split, with reactive and compliance maintenance work and not predominantly project work, knowledge of boiler servicing is required.
- Reactive plumbing & gas work, this can be minor plumbing repairs to boiler breakdowns.
- Planned compliance you will be asked to carry out a number of boiler servicing from 3 or 4 a day, all recorded on a new digital app.
- Will be required to work away from time to time as we have nationwide coverage and projects across the UK. Food allowance paid into your bank.
- Willing to advance knowledge with renewable training and qualifications.
- From time to time be joined with an apprentice, so will be asked to give them training throughout their apprenticeship.
- May be asked to worked with the HVAC team from time to time to carry out installation pipework on LTHW and Chilled water.
Job Responsibilities:
- Carry out servicing work to commercial Plumbing systems and associated appliances.
- Diagnose faults on systems and associated appliances.
- Assess the parts needed for remedial works to assist with quotation purposes.
- Conduct routine maintenance and testing on commercial plumbing systems to the relevant industry standards.
- Assist with any plumbing & Heating works both reactive and Installation.
- Ensure good quality workmanship which upholds company standards, complies with building codes, and follows safety requirements.
- Comfortable working alone or as part of a team.
- Provide exceptional face to face customer service and answer any customer questions.
- Provide professional assessments and advice for customers.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of all industry standards and legislation.
Qualifications – Essential Minimum
- Plumbing & Heating NVQ 3
- Gas safe.
- CCN1 – Core Gas Safety
- CENWAT – Central Heating Boilers
- Additional Gas sectors
- CSCS card
- Valid passport
- Must be able to pass a DBS check
- Valid driving license
Any of the following or looking to work towards
- CODNCO1 – Change over core gas safety from Domestic to Commercial
- And relative additions to CODNCO1 (Have or willing to do)
- FGAS
- Air conditioning experience or knowledge
- CODC1 – Change over core domestic to Core Commercial Catering (have or willing to do)
- Unvented hot water G3 (have or willing to do)
- Acop L8 / HSG274
Start date – 19th Feb 2024
Further Training will be provided in line with the business’s requirements.
