Job Title: Commercial Account Manager
Location: Cambridge with occasional travel to other Envar sites.
(Some hybrid working will be allowed but it will be mainly office based and on the road)
Salary: £30 – £65K dependant on experience + KPI Bonus

Working Hours: 40 Hours per week, Monday – Friday
Envar is part of the Heathcote Holdings group of companies, our flagship site in Cambridgeshire is one of the UK’s largest in-vessel and windrow composting facilities.
Envar is a producer and supplier of high-quality compost, woodland garden mulch, wood chip and biomass. We operate green waste composting sites across England with sites in Surrey, Northamptonshire, Derbyshire and West London as well as our flagship site in Cambridgeshire where we also process food waste. In addition to composting Envar also recycle coffee grounds.
About the role:
We are looking for a motivated and driven individual to join the commercial team to manage the offtake of compost and other materials from all of our composting facilities to promote sales of compost to agriculture/ horticulture and other appropriate markets to increase the sales value.
This is a role 2/3 desk based and 1/3 out and about visiting customers. It helps to have a knowledge of farming as this will be the bulk of our customer base.

Key Responsibilities:
- Encourage a positive culture to promote compost sales within the business and gain the best price.
- Uphold Health and Safety and Environmental compliance across the site and third-party suppliers.
- Ensure that all Envar facilities can maintain suitable offtake of compost, liaison with operational teams and create an organisational working procedure to ensure that compost is removed from site to enable throughput of input materials.
- Support key stakeholders in all partner businesses with development and deployment of Envar strategy.
- Engage with external off takers (Farmers / Soil blenders etc) on a regular basis to maintain relationships and explore partnership possibilities.
- Support, influence, facilitate and govern the implementation of future improvement projects.
- Aid in marketing and public relations for the company.
- Reporting of key financial indicators on a timely manner when requested.
- Assist with capability building by providing leadership, coaching & supervision, playing a pivotal role in linking people and opportunities together across all group businesses with offtake of materials.
About you:
Essential Requirements:
- Agricultural Experience – either in agronomy or other related industry.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in order to work with, provide advice to, train, and promote excellence operational efficiencies.
- The ability to organise and prioritise workload.
Desirable Requirements:
- Either FACT’s or BASIS qualified.
