Job Title: Commercial Insurance Account Handler

We look after the personal and business insurance needs of a variety of clients throughout the North West of England from our offices in Lancaster and Knott End-on-Sea. About yourself;
We are Insurance Brokers looking for a new Handler to work within our Lancaster office, which deals with all classes of Commercial Insurance for existing and new clients.
You will be proactive with strong communication skills and have a desire to develop your professional career within a growing team.
Ideally you will have a minimum of 2 years Commercial Insurance experience, Cert CII or a desire to work towards this is required.
THE ROLE. WE WILL NEED YOU TO:
- The role has responsibility for generating revenue and developing the profitability of the business, whilst working within FACA rules and guidelines in all aspects of commercial insurance.
- Maintaining a high level of customer service and promoting exceptional customer care standards to all clients in accordance with their needs and requirements.
- Support account executives in retaining and developing a book of cross class commercial clients ensuring their insurance needs are met.
- Manage day to day enquiries from clients, including new business, renewals and mid-term adjustments.
- Develop and maintain a professional working relationship with clients, insurers and colleagues.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS PREFERRED
- Ideally but not essential, a minimum of 2 years commercial experience; preferably from a broker background.
- Ideally but not essential, a good working knowledge of; Property Owners, Commercial Combined, Fleet, Financial Lines, Package.
- Excellent organisation skills, high attention to detail and able to meet deadlines.
- Confident communicator, written and oral, willing to challenge and desire to build and maintain client and insurer relationships.
- Experience of Open GI system preferable, but not essential.
- A good standard of education with minimum GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English, or equivalent.
