The role:
The cornerstone to this vision is the delivery of our strategy, split over four key areas including using development projects to influence change, developing a strong and enviable reputation as an events destination, harnessing the changes in digital technology and being more commercial to deal with financial pressures and support our ambitions to be self-sustainable.
Essential to this is the Council operating more commercially and will include maximising income from existing services, identifying new and innovative income generation opportunities and applying commercial principles to our project delivery. All of which will help ensure we can maintain the frontline services that our residents value the most.
This role will play an integral part of making our vision a reality, bringing strong commercial acumen and a proven track record of turning ideas into action. You will be a member of a team that will support the delivery programme and working across the wider service with colleagues from the Business Intelligence & Performance and Organisational and People Development functions to ensure the programme has the maximum impact for our residents.
