Salary: Up to £40k pa DOE
Job type: Full-time, Permanent, Monday to Friday, 8 am – 6 pm (1-hour break), and alternate Saturdays, 8 am – 4 pm (30-minute paid lunch)

If you’re passionate about crafting bespoke vehicle bodies and have an eye for technical detail, we want you on our team! We’re searching for a Coachbuilder / Vehicle Bodybuilder to join our friendly workshop, where we’re all about turning visions into reality.
Your Role:
As our Coachbuilder, you’ll be the architect behind the scenes, bringing our clients’ dream vehicles to life. Your responsibilities will include:
- Reading and understanding technical drawings.
- Fabricating sections and components from materials such as sheet metal, wood, and fiberglass.
- Fitting and assembling components using hand and portable power tools like drills, riveters, and welding apparatus.
- Mastering the art of welding, riveting, drilling, cutting, bolting, and fixing materials to craft finished products.
- Installing components and trim, including door handles, locks, and hinges.
- Collaborating within a team to create complete vehicle bodies to the highest standard, both inside and out.
- Delving into basic auto electrical work, from installing lights to attaching tail lifts to vehicles (training provided if needed).
About You:
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Reliable with excellent time management skills.
- A team player who can also manage individual workloads effectively.
- Competent in steel welding, with desirable experience in aluminium welding.
- Adaptable, with experience in fabricating and/or welding and a willingness to learn the art of bodybuilding (essential).
- Experience in commercial vehicle body building is a plus, including work with various materials such as timber, GRP, and metal.
