Job Title: CNC Miller
Location: Knutsford, Cheshire (WA16 8XW)
Salary: £25,000 to £30,000 depending on experience (Virtually no overtime)
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent (40 hours per week)
Working Hours: 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday
The Company is a small, privately owned manufacturer of polystyrene food trays supplying supermarkets and takeaway whole-sellers since 1982. They pride themselves on maintaining and developing the factory with in-house electrical, engineering and mechanical expertise.
They consider the workplace to be clean and friendly, with many of their staff having worked here for over fifteen years.
The Role:
You will be part of their in-house engineering team, helping to design, manufacture and develop parts for use in their own factory.
You will be responsible for the entire process: selecting materials and tools; designing and making jigs; programming; milling and inspection.
Your input to the design of components will also be appreciated.
Job Duties:
You will be the only dedicated CNC person in the company.
You will be running an XYZ 1060HS with Siemens Sinumerik Control.
Help is on hand from experienced colleagues, but they need your expertise as part of their team.
You will be producing one-off and short-run precision components from paper drawings and 3D CAD models generated in Solid Works.
You will be machining aluminium, mild-steel, tool-steel and acetal.
Key Requirements
Essential
- Capable of setting and operating vertical CNC milling machines
- Capable of programming a CNC milling machine
- Live within a 40 min commute to the office
Desirable
- Experience with a CAM package (preferably CAMWorks)
Working Hours:
They can help you achieve a work / life balance. They are offering 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 8 to 4, with virtually no overtime. You are paid for your breaks (20 + 40 mins a day)
