Job Title: CNC Mill Setter/Operator
Location: Bodmin, Cornwall
Salary: £27,500 plus bonus

The Company:
In this role, you will manufacture and repair elastomer & plastic moulds, multi-trim dies and other tooling components, multi-task across a number of machines and processes at any one time, demonstrate a proactive mindset for process development, assist in increasing automation and utilisation of equipment, support and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities, support colleagues, Section Leaders and Managers in meeting all quality, delivery and cost objectives and comply with the company’s safety, environmental and quality policies at all times.
Key Duties:
- Manufacture and repair elastomer & plastic moulds, multi-trim dies and other tooling components.
- Multi-task across a number of machines and processes at any one time.
- Demonstrate a proactive mindset for process development.
- Assist in increasing automation and utilisation of equipment.
- Support and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities.
- Support colleagues, Section Leaders and Managers in meeting all quality, delivery and cost objectives.
- Comply with the company’s quality policies at all times.
- Act in accordance with the Company’s Guiding Principles and adherence to the corporate Code of Conduct.
- Compliance to all local site company policies, procedures and corporate policies.
- To ensure that the company Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and other safety regulations are upheld throughout the site and factory reporting any irregularities to your line manager.
- Report near miss accidents or incidents at the earliest opportunity in the appropriate report books.
- Be compliant with any machine instructions, & responsible for the proper use of all equipment assets within the work area.
- Ensure that your work area(s) are kept clean and tidy at all times.
- Ensure correct use of PPE.
- Other duties as assigned.
The Candidate:
Basic Qualifications:
- Required: Formal engineering apprenticeship to NVQ3 level (or C&G equivalent)
- Desirable: Formal engineering apprenticeship to HNC level (or C&G equivalent)
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Required:
- Demonstrable competence in programming, setting & operation of CNC Mills
- Familiarity with of measuring equipment.
- Familiarity with interpreting Engineering drawings
- Demonstrated knowledge of modern cutting tools and techniques
Desirable:
- Experienced in FANUC machine tool controls
- Experienced in multi-axis machine tools
- Experience in elastomer mould, plastic mould and press-tool manufacture
