About the role:
The Blackberry Clinic group have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Director to join our senior management team. This is a vital role within the business, the successful candidate being responsible for providing clinical leadership for health assessments and primary care services across all Blackberry Clinic sites.
The Clinical Director will develop collaborative relationships with key strategic partners both internally and externally, ensure appropriate training and standards across all primary care services and oversea the performance of the clinicians to ensure adherence with all clinical governance.
This is a full time, hybrid role with regular travel required to Blackberry offices as needed. The successful candidate will also be providing health assessments and our full range of primary care services for one or two sessions per week.

The Blackberry Clinic group was established in 1988 and has 24 centres across the UK. We are experts in treating acute and chronic back pain, muscle sprains, strains, arthritis and other joint conditions causing pain or discomfort. We offer a full service for the treatment and rehabilitation of sports injuries for all levels of sports men and women and offer health screening and health assessment services in partnership with Bupa Health Clinics.
Key duties and responsibilities:

- Take joint accountability for the delivery of clinical strategies and clinical KPI’s.
- Provide leadership for health assessments and primary care services across the group for customer liaison/operational functions and strategic, product and service development.
- Provide face to face and remote clinical leadership across all channels.
- Provide support on clinical governance reporting, safety, incident and clinical risk management, statutory and professional compliance.
- Provide support and guidance to Lead Physicians and front-line staff.
- To represent Blackberry Clinic on health assessments and primary care, contributing to the development of relevant literature, delivering presentations where required.
- Acting as Line Manager for the Lead Physicians.
- Liaise with colleagues to establish sustainable ways to support recruitment, prioritising the retention of primary care staff.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Full registration with a licence to practice and entry into the GMC GP Register.
- A senior clinician with substantial experience in the delivery and development of primary care services.
- Experience of business/financial management within a healthcare setting.
- Experience of leadership roles within representative bodies such as: CCG’s, PCN’s and LMC’s etc.
- Participating in annual clinical appraisals.
- Recent or ongoing primary care experience.
- Experience of Line-Managing others and dealing with performance concerns in clinical practice.
- Motivated to improve the safety and effectiveness of clinical services.
- Experience and knowledge of the implementation of clinical governance activities.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of regulations pertaining to healthcare professionals and facilities.
- Understanding the licensing and evaluation of new treatments and technologies.
