Job Title: Client Adviser – Regional Mobile Team

Salary: £27,275 (Increasing to £31.059 following successful completion of a 6 months probation period)

Location: Hybrid (Hampshire)

Job Type: 12 Month Fixed Term – Full Time

As the Client Adviser your duties would include:

  • Support Asylum Seekers to complete applications, ensuring forms are completed accurately, with the correct level of detail and within required KPIs and timescales
  • Provide detailed induction briefings to new arrivals in Initial Accommodation, providing them with advice and guidance around the asylum process, asylum support and their obligations
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, Health and Safety standards, policies, and procedures, provide the correct advice and guidance to all who require our support
  • Provide support to asylum seekers within all accommodation types across the UK
  • Ensure that all clients are aware of the relevant eligibility criteria and their obligations to provide supporting evidence within the required timescales
  • Assist clients to notify the authority of any change in their circumstances
  • Undertake casework which may include complex or safeguarding cases as required, liaising with the Home Office, Social Services, Healthcare professionals and other relevant agencies for applicants with additional support needs
  • Keep full, accurate and up-to-date case records, complete case follow-up within the requisite time scales and undertake any necessary administrative tasks
  • Work within the specification of the contract with the Home Office, and on immigration related matters within the scope of the relevant OISC (Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner) accreditation level and service
  • Handle both inbound and outbound calls effectively, working in a timely way to ensure that clients are supported appropriately whilst ensuring that we can support as many people in need as possible

The experience and skills you need:

  • ​Proven experience providing exemplary customer service to vulnerable people
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a pressured environment and meeting deadlines, targets and KPI’s
  • Excellent organisational skills with good attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to a wide range of people

What else to expect:

  • This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)
  • The Regional Mobile Team operate Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 6pm, however there may be occasion where flexibility to work outside of these hours is required
  • This is a hybrid role and therefore travel is required across multiple sites, including Initial and Contingency Accommodation
  • Due to the location of some of the sites, it would be beneficial if you were to hold a full UK driving license and have access to a vehicle
  • Please note that interviews are expected to take place in the new year
