The Role and key responsibilities:
Due to the retirement of the current postholder, the Governors of St Francis Xavier Catholic Sixth Form College are looking to appoint an organised and efficient Clerk to the Governors.
As Clerk to the Governors you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of highly effective governance, ensuring adherence to good practice and compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements. You will advise the Governing Body on current relevant legislation and procedural matters before, during and after meetings. You will be required to manage the schedule of meetings and business, information and correspondence and ensure that the Board has a membership that can deliver robust oversight and preservation of the Catholic and educational character and financial performance of the college.
This is a term time only, permanent, part -time, 17.5 hours per week position. The salary will be paid on the NJC scale 26 (£41,805) actual salary (£18,052) inclusive of Inner London Weighting.
