Job Title: European Driver (UK Line)

Hours: 40-45 hours per week over 4-5 days, working away from home and travelling to Europe each week with overnight stays required
The Company is based in Milton Park, Abingdon and is currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver with European Driving Experience to join their team. The company prides itself on high quality service delivery; providing comprehensive and customised logistics solutions at all stages of the supply chain and are looking for candidates who are able to meet the same high standards.
An experienced driver is required with extensive knowledge of driving in Europe. The job involves arriving at the UK Head Office in Milton Park, usually on Monday of each week, to help load and prepare the vehicle before travelling to a small number of European destinations on a set route, making deliveries at their factories and customer sites over the following two days.
On your return journey to the UK you will be making several collections before arriving back at Milton Park normally late Friday afternoon or early evening. Weekend working is also available (although not guaranteed) in addition to your standard duties to assist the Installation and Logistics teams and any additional work is payable at overtime rates.
The UK Line Driver is responsible for safe loading and strapping of the vehicle. There may also be a requirement to assist with loading and unloading vehicles plus other driving duties from time to time in order to meet the needs of the business and legislative requirements. On occasions where the European Trunk does not run there will be a requirement to assist with other duties at Head Office.
Essential Requirements:
- Clean C+E licence, up to date driver CPC and digital tachograph
- Significant European driving experience
- Good command of the English language
- Must live within 45 minutes of Milton Park, Oxon
- Flexibility regarding working hours
Desirable:
- Wagon and drag experience (A frame) (training may be given for the right applicant)

Working Hours:
Working 5 days in 7 (normally Monday to Friday however this may vary occasionally depending on Bank Holidays and customer requirements) with some weekend work on an overtime basis where this is in addition to the 5 day working pattern.
Tax free night out allowance of £32.50 payable when sleeping in the cab overseas.
A professional attitude is essential together with good written and verbal communication skills and a keen eye for detail. The successful candidate will enjoy working as part of a team and be able to follow set process closely after training.
