Job Title: Chef De Partie
Location: Sevenoaks
Salary: £25,000 per annum
Job type: Permanent – 3 weekdays and every weekend from 7.30am to 4pm
We are a friendly, family-run business in Kent that is constantly on the lookout for talented and enthusiastic team players who can display attention to detail with a genuine passion for cooking.
The Role:
- Running a section in the kitchen.
- Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes within a section.
- Assisting in creating menus, recipes and developing dishes.
- Preparing meat and fish.
- Assisting with the management & maintenance of health and safety & food hygiene practices.
- Managing and training any Commis Chefs and junior staff members.
- Monitoring portion and waste control.
- Temperature taking and recording.
- Keeping section and equipment clean and tidy.
- To ensure correct stock rotation, labelling and storage.
Requirements:
- Previous experience within a professional kitchen is essential, ideally 2 years’ experience.
- Possess catering/cooking and food safety qualifications.
- A real passion for cooking high quality dishes with fresh, seasonal produce.
- Awareness of COSHH regulations, chemical safety and HACCP standards.
- Experience of food safety and hygiene laws, health and safety and allergen regulations.
- Experience of using kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work without close supervision.
- Team management skills.
- Flexible, positive and adaptable team player.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Keenness to learn and develop your skills.
