The Role:

At Ekco, our people and culture come first! The role will entail managing the Change & Release Management elements of the service provided by Ekco. These include but are not limited to chairing the Technical Review Board and the Change Advisory Board ensuring that all submitted RFCs meet the required standard for implementation, are technically sound, any risks or clashes are identified and raised as risks and ensuring that all RFCs meet our internal and customer requirements.

Key Duties / Requirements of the Role:

As Ekco’s Change & Release Manager, you will play a key role in:

  • Manage the Change Portfolio, including the Change Advisory Board, meetings, issues and agendas both internally and externally where required working in partnership with Ekco’s clients.
  • Change Management Assessments including quality, prioritisation and risk mitigation.
  • Deliver Release Assurance, including Release Readiness, Gate Reviews and Lessons Learned to ensure the Release Management process continues to evolve.
  • Manage Vendors including change building, testing and implementation in accordance with schedules and the forward schedule of change.
  • Identify risk within Change ensuring mitigating steps are taken and stakeholder are informed.
  • Ensure effective communication to all change stakeholders specifically Consult project and support teams.
  • Support & engage key Change and release stakeholders to ensure successful C&R.
  • Review all implemented changes specifically focusing on failed or incident causing changes.
  • Analyse change records to determine any trends.
  • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress.
  • Communicate Information & Regular Updates by way of reporting.
  • Implement & embed the more structured ways of working, policies & procedures aligned to Ekco’s ITSM toolset.
  • Work closely with service desk and service delivery management to implement areas of service improvement if required.
  • Run Daily Release Stand-ups and similar for Ekco, our customers and 3rd Party Stakeholders.

About you:

  • A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process, including an understanding of issues and challenges.
  • A technical understanding of a network and infrastructure environment is desirable.
  • Change management certification of ITIL or equivalent is essential.
  • Risk management Awareness in a Managed Service organisation.
  • Gravitas, personable, robust, self-starter, and enthusiastic.
  • Ability to communicate concisely, effectively and instil confidence at Executive and Board level.
  • In depth working knowledge of service management processes (Incident, Problem and Change Management).
  • Strong time management and efficiency skills, organised and delivery focused, good planning skills, and process driven.
  • Experience of working and delivering in a high-pressure environment with multiple priorities.
  • Able to negotiate in difficult situations to reach a successful conclusion.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for internal stakeholders, customers, and third party suppliers.
  • Be able to proactively manage customer expectations.
  • IT Service experience with knowledge or understanding of IT platforms, operating systems, infrastructure and technology environments would be advantageous.
