Job Title: Catering Manager

Salary: £19,000 – £22,000

The Company is located on the South coast and is home to an array of animals in over 45 naturally themed exhibits from around the world from the British coast, the Mediterranean, coral reef and the tropical rainforest.
The Role
In this varied role you will need to be responsible for the following areas:
- You will lead and inspire your team to engage with guests, create a hospitable and welcoming atmosphere
- Deliver the day to day catering operations
- Maintain the highest health and hygiene standards.
- Manage food ordering and stock control
- Food preparation and menu development
- Manage the catering team
This position is permanent working full time; the role would be working 5 days out of 7, based on 40 hours per week. Normal hours would be between 8.30am and 7pm with exceptions made for stock-take and other special events. Flexibility is required to meet the needs of the business and shifts will include regular weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
About You:
To be successful in this role you will need to be passionate about food, hospitality and standards. You will need to be brimming with ideas and enthusiasm and able to lead and obtain buy in from your team; Confident in all aspects of managing a catering operation taking a hands on approach; As comfortable in the kitchen as you are front of house and able to manage priorities in this sometimes demanding seasonal business. As you progress in your role you will also join the Aquarium Duty Management team.
