We have an exciting opportunity for Catering Assistants to join our newest activity centre Ford Castle opening in May.
As a Catering Assistant at PGL, you’ll receive a monthly wage of between £1,625 and £1,707, all while working in a fun, supportive environment that encourages you to develop your career. We’re currently recruiting new Catering Assistants to join the team in 2022. This is an excellent opportunity to learn from friendly, knowledgeable catering professionals in a fun working environment.
Whether you’re looking for a new career or you already have experience, you’ll be supported every step of the way of your working adventure as a PGL Catering Assistant. You’ll get to develop your skills from the ground floor, from pot wash to food prep. The chances for progression are all dependent on your own ambition. Many of our Chefs started as Catering Assistants before further developing their career.
If you’re enthusiastic, have a willingness to learn, and can deliver high standards of customer service, you’re the person we’re looking for to join us in the kitchen.
Staff Package
In your new role as a Catering Assistant at PGL, you will receive a monthly wage between £1,625 and £1,707. In addition, you’ll be able to take advantage of training and qualification opportunities, funded by PGL, that encourage you to develop your future career. This includes the annual Chef Academy programme, which provides you with the qualifications and skills you need to advance towards Assistant Chef.
Your uniform is also provided for you, and we offer a 20% discount to our colleagues in all our on-site shops.
Successful applicants are required to undergo an enhanced DBS disclosure, which PGL will pay for. You need to possess the legal right to live and work in the UK to be considered for employment with PGL. * To be eligible for the bonus, you will need to start with PGL before the end of March 2022 and work through until the end of our operating season. You will receive £250 in your first month’s pay after completing your probationary period, and the second £250 payment will be made in your final month’s pay.
Candidates with the relevant experience or job titles of: Food Services Assistant, Catering Assistant, Caterer, Kitchen Assistant, Serving Assistant, Café Staff, Host, Hostess, Server, Waiter, Waitress, Kitchen Porter, Pot Wash, Kitchen Hand may also be considered for this role.
