Job Title: Care Workers/Support workers – New Home

There are a variety of positions available depending on qualifications and experience which range from the Trainee level up to Team Leader. Full time and part time positions are available.
Based on 36.25 Hours per week and 1 sleep in shift per week the following salaries would apply (all of which include 28 days paid holiday a year and pension scheme)
Roles Available:
- Trainee – £24,778 per annum
- Level 3 – £26,650 per annum
- Key worker – £27,650 per annum
- Team Leader – £29,507 per annum (including on call)
The Bay Tree House Group is a well established and respected residential children’s home provider for young people with a variety of learning disabilities and associated behavioural and emotional needs.
We are in the process of opening a new home in Higham which will offer holistic and therapeutic care to young people from 8 to 18 years old.
The most valuable resource in providing our young people with a loving, caring environment in which they can grow and thrive is the staff team. We are looking for staff who are committed, empathic and driven to provide outstanding care to our young people. In return we offer rates of pay and benefits that are significantly higher than the industry standard.
The home will be staffed 24 hours a day 365 days per year with a mix of day time, evening, weekend shifts and sleep-ins.
Looking for Trainees, Level 3 staff, Key workers and Team Leaders.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Work in line with the Ofsted Quality Standards
- Working therapeutically to help our young people identify behaviours and make positive changes
- Positively manage and challenge difficult behaviours
- Uphold firm and consistent boundaries
- Work proactively with our young people to establish care plans and use these to inform SMART targets and key work topics
- Work with our young people to achieve AQA awards for life skills and independent living skills
- Engage in imaginative play and fun activities
- Work in a trauma informed/ PACE way to support our young people in identifying and processing difficult thoughts and feelings in a positive ‘child led’ way
- Maintain a clean and nurturing home environment
- Work as part of a team maintaining good communication and record keeping
- Training Provided such as NVQ Level 3 and 5, Team Teach, Direct Skills, Trauma based approach, Speech and Language workshop as well as all mandatory training
- Monthly staff meetings, staff supervision and staff reflection session with qualified psychotherapist.
Applicants must have a full UK driving license, be over 21 with a year’s driving experience (no more than 3 points) and, preferably, have completed NVQ level 3. Full training will be provided if you do not have the correct qualification.
