Salary: £8.40 to £10.23 per hour dependant on qualifications

The Trust (a well-established charitable housing and care provider based in Olton, Solihull) currently has full-time and part-time vacancies for Day and Night Care Assistants to work shifts at Alexandra House, the Trust’s residential care home.
It also has vacancies for Domiciliary care assistants to work in residents’ homes in its Extra Care facility and the Trust’s sheltered housing schemes.
As a Care Assistant you will put the residents’ care and wellbeing at the heart of everything you do. The Trust promotes independence, dignity and quality of life always in a person centred, caring and supportive environment.
You will assist with daily activities providing residents with both physical and emotional support and personal care whilst at all times ensuring dignity and respect are maintained for those that use the Trust’s care service.
Some experience of working with older people would be beneficial but is not essential, they will provide training.
Key things about you:
- Reliable, able to work under pressure, follow instructions and procedures
- Good writing and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Exhibit a caring and compassionate attitude while articulating true concern for people
- Ability to work flexible hours
- A car driver for the domiciliary roles
- An enhanced DBS check will be taken up for successful candidates
