The Trust (a well-established charitable care provider in Olton, Solihull) currently has full-time and part-time vacancies for Care Assistants to work day shifts at Alexandra House, the Trust’s residential care home and Domiciliary Care Assistants to work at Alexandra Court, its Extra Care Scheme.
As a Care Assistant you will put the residents’ care and wellbeing at the heart of everything you do. The Trust promotes independence, dignity and quality of life always in a person centred, caring and supportive environment.
You will assist with daily activities providing residents with both physical and emotional support and personal care whilst at all times ensuring dignity and respect are maintained for those that use the Trust’s care service.
Some experience of working with older people would be beneficial but is not essential, they will provide relevant training
Key things about you:
- Reliable, able to work under pressure, follow instructions and procedures
- Good writing and verbal communication skills
- Exhibit a caring and compassionate attitude while articulating true concern for people
- Ability to work flexible hours
- An enhanced DBS check will be taken up for successful candidates
