Job Role:
Sir Josiah Mason Trust currently has vacancies for full-time, part time and ‘bank’ Care Assistants to work in its Residential care home and Extra Care scheme. We have day or night shifts available and we can offer progression opportunities into ‘shift lead’ positions.
Our main priority is to find people with the right values, behaviours, and attitudes that match our own! As a Care Assistant you will put the residents’ care and wellbeing at the heart of everything you do. The Trust promotes independence, dignity and quality of life always in a person centred, caring and supportive environment.
No two days are the same but you will assist residents with their personal care, promote activities, help with meal preparation, light cleaning/laundry whilst at all times ensuring dignity and respect are maintained for those that use the Trust’s care service.
We also have a pool of Bank Care Assistants that we offer work to from time to time to cover our care team’s holidays and sickness. This role gives you the flexibility to work the shifts that you want to fit in around your home life. We offer regular shifts to our bank staff but you have the choice of when you want to work.
Key things about you:
- Some experience in long term care, assisted living or home care is beneficial but not essential, full training will be provided
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Good attendance and punctuality
- Exhibit a caring and compassionate attitude while articulating true concern for people
- Full driving licence and use of a car for the roles in the Extra Care scheme only
- An enhanced DBS check will be taken up for successful candidates
- Two Covid-19 vaccinations
