Job Title: CAE Crash Analyst
Location: Brighton
Salary: £40,000 – £60,000 Dependant on Experience
Job Type: Full Time, 37hrs p/w
Company Profile:
Our client is an engineering consultancy specialising in material test and characterisation and structural analysis and development. The company has a very varied portfolio of customers in the aerospace, space, automotive, transportation and defence industries, dealing with metallic and composite structures.
The company is looking for an experienced LS Dyna analyst to join the team.
In this role you will be dealing directly with the customer to manage a project from start to finish including finalise loads and boundary conditions, pass criteria, details of the design, presentation of results and recommendations and other related issues.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare FEA models from supplied CAD.
- Understand, design and implement loads and boundary conditions.
- Post process analysis results and interpret them in relation to the needs of the project.
- Conceive design improvements and present these to the customer.
- Produce reports of the project.
Desired Skills and requirements:
- Degree in mechanical engineering or similar.
- Expert in the use and application of LS Dyna.
- Good problem solving skills.
- Passenger vehicle safety and crash analysis.
- At least 4 years’ relevant experience.
- Some Knowledge of CAD packages, preferably CREO.
- Working knowledge of MS excel, power point, and word.
- Possess excellent communication skills.
- Be able to work in a team and on own initiative.
