Job Title: Air Freight Business Development Manager

Location: Heathrow

Salary: £60,000 – £80,000  (depending on experience)

Job type: Full Time

Allair Global, part of the Allseas Global Logistics Group, is looking to add to its headcount with their very own Airfreight Business Development Manager based out of Heathrow. This role allows for diary self-management so is not office based, but the successful candidate must be based in a commutable distance to Heathrow.

Our Air division has expanded significantly over the last 2 years and we are continuing to expand our UK team. Reporting into the northern based UK Sales Director with a close dotted line to the two Heathrow based Airfreight Branch Managers, our driven, experienced, and entrepreneurial Business Development Manager will maintain and develop relationships with an existing portfolio of accounts whilst maximising all sales opportunities by winning new business.

*You must have specific experience within the Airfreight forwarding Industry to be considered for this role*

Our ideal person:

  • Knowledge of multimodal service offering by AGL and group offering in order to push group services within the business
  • Commercially focused with a strong passion for customer service who can effectively interact with people across cultures and countries
  • A confident communicator with a passion for their work
  • Self-motivated and driven with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Has the ability to be a self-starter, build own sales pipeline as well as manage customer accounts and relationships
  • Ability to work successfully in an autonomous role
  • Display a hungry and flexible attitude
  • Highly organised in order to achieve goals in a timely manner
  • Knowledge of supplier service offerings and changes in market conditions
  • Previous experience using CRM systems
  • Advance MS Suite skills
  • Strong presentation skills

In this role, you will:

  • Build and maintain a customer base to expand revenue streams
  • Plan personal sales activity effectively with regular contact via telephone, email and face to face communication
  • Targeted telephone sales and meetings to understand needs and provide the right solution
  • Establish and plan key accounts
  • Actively promoting the brand and always provide exceptional customer service
  • Self-generate appointments to maximise revenue
  • Obtain and maintain excellent knowledge of company’s products and services
  • Provide advice and guidance to resolve queries and objections and ensure follow up and resolutions are delivered
  • Be fully accountable for the growth of GP (gross profit) across these modes and in line with a structured sales scheme
  • Participate in market campaigns and understand related literature
  • Ensure you comply and follow our company values, which we refer to as ‘Our Approach to Business
