Our FilterLayr platform is used in facemasks, cartridge masks, canister masks and pleated HVAC filters. Our SonoLayr platform is used in a broad range of sound attenuation applications like soft furnishings, acoustic panels, automotive and aeronautical head linings and panels. Our XantuLayr platform enhances composite mechanical performance and is suitable for improving the performance of composite structures prone to impact/crash damage, delamination and high flexure or fatigue loadings.

About the role:

Based in the UK, this permanent full-time role reports to our Commercial Director, located in New Zealand. You will be responsible for commercialising NanoLayr’s industrial product platforms (SonoLayr, FilterLayr and XantuLayr) and identifying opportunities for new product development in industrial markets across the UK and Europe. Responsibilities of the role cover:

  • Managing all inbound sales inquiries, including screening, initial contact, information and sample requests
  • Actively managing the new business cycle from lead generation and lead management to prospecting, arranging appointments, and preparing proposals and presentations
  • Building, managing and maintaining a substantial pipeline, ensuring that all activity is accurately documented
  • Drafting commercial documents, including NDA, heads of terms, manufacture and supply agreements
  • Representing NanoLayr at trade and industry events

Role Requirements:

We’re looking for someone with strong business development/sales capabilities who is also comfortable engaging with technical experts to commercialise our industrial product platforms. In addition to high energy, motivation and a drive to succeed, we are interested in connecting with candidates who meet most of the following requirements:

  • Minimum of three years experience in a Business Development role in B2B markets
  • Ideally, a mix of commercial and science work experience or education
  • Ability to build and nurture commercial relationships and present at seminars and other industry networking events
  • Comfortable with cold calling
  • Proven ability to write and develop sales proposals and coordinate contractual activities
